For the resolution of disputes between lawyers and their clients mediation out of court can be requested with the competent bar associations (sections 73 para. 2 no. 3, 73 para. 5 German Federal Lawyers Act – BRAO) or the mediation office of the Federal Bar Association (section 191f BRAO) (www.brak.de; schlichtungsstelle@brak.de).
